WEST DES MOINES, IA – The most recent Iowans for Tax Relief Foundation Poll, conducted by Cygnal, shows Governor Kim Reynolds is very popular, President Biden is not, and it looks like Republicans could perform well in the November elections.

Governor Reynolds was the most popular person tested and has a high net favorability. Reynolds leads by 14.4 points on the gubernatorial ballot over Democrat nominee Deidre DeJear (55.5 to 41.1).

ITR President Chris Hagenow said, "The ITR Foundation Poll is yet another indicator that Governor Reynolds is on her way to a commanding victory in November. In the face of relentless attacks from the radical left, voters are ready to give Governor Reynolds a mandate for four more years of strong conservative leadership."

The popularity of Governor Reynolds is in stark contrast to that of President Biden, who is deeply unpopular with Iowa voters. By a 2 to 1 margin, Iowa voters disapprove of the President's job performance. Donald Trump would win a hypothetical rematch with Joe Biden by 11 points, up from an 8-point win in 2020.

Senator Chuck Grassley holds a 51.6 to 43.4 lead over Democrat Mike Franken.

The proposed constitutional amendment adding the "right to keep and bear arms" to our state constitution is widely supported by Iowans. This support crosses partisan lines, with 15% of Democrats intending to vote for this amendment.

Hagenow added, "Inflation and the cost of living is the issue most on the mind of Iowa voters. While abortion has risen in importance over the past few weeks, it is predominantly base democrats who respond that abortion is now their most important issue."
